Edward Daniel, 101, died on October 2, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10 am at St. Philomena''s Church, Livingston, NJ with entombment of cremains to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.

Born and raised in Newark, he settled in Clifton, then moved to Chadwick Beach Island and has been a resident of Roseland since 2016. Prior to his retirement, he was the President of Local Carriers Trucking in Clifton. During World War II, he honorably served in the US Navy Seabees. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling the country with his Airstream in tow.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Stanley Daniel and Margaret (Strugala) Daniel; son, Gary Daniel; brother, Matthew Daniel.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 77 years, Elizabeth Betty (Svec) Daniel; devoted daughter, Eileen Banyar and her husband Jack; loving daughter in-law, Barbara Daniel; cherished grandchildren, Matthew Banyar and Kate Portman and her husband Gary; special great-grandsons, Christopher and Michael; caring siblings, Florence Grace and Richard Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Barnabas Hospice, VNA, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052.
