The family of Daniel Anthony Burton, 63, of West Caldwell, New Jersey, is sad to announce his passing on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Orange, New Jersey to Roy A. Robert and Mary Jane (Esposito) Burton, Daniel was raised in West Caldwell along with his two sisters and three brothers.
Dan graduated from James Caldwell High School in 1976 and remained in his hometown where he raised his two sons. Alongside his father and oldest son, Dan was the owner and operator of Burton’s Floor Service.
Daniel received a heart transplant in 2001. The family is thankful to the donor who gave us an additional 21 years with him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Susan, and brother, Christopher.
Surviving are his devoted sons, Roy Henry Burton and Eric Mathew Burton, loving sister, Nancy Lentini, brothers, Mark Burton and Michael Burton, also many nieces & nephews.

Friends are invited to stop by the family home (where the Burton children were raised), 8 Stonybrook Road, West Caldwell, on Thursday, January 27th from 4-8 pm. Stop by, have a bite to eat and visit with Roy, Eric, and the family.
