Obituary for Gloria E. DiMaio (Del Vento)
Gloria E. DiMaio, 96, of Roseland, N.J., passed away on November 27, 2021. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. at Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland. Services begin on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland, with entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Born and raised in Orange, N.J., Gloria lived in Bloomfield, N.J. and in 1956 moved to West Caldwell, N.J. For the past 20 years, she has lived in Roseland. Prior to retiring, Gloria served the Borough of Roseland for 24 years as the Secretary to the Board of Health, Registrar, and Tax Assessment Clerk. Prior to that, she worked for the Township of West Caldwell as a receptionist and switchboard operator. She was a member of the Roseland Senior Citizens.
Predeceased by her husband, Frank V. DiMaio, parents, Alessandro and Irena Del Vento, and siblings, Antoinette, Lucy, Anna, and Leonard.
Gloria is survived by her children, Anthony DiMaio and Vivian Dyer; grandson, George Dyer, and his wife, Heidi; great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Morgan Dyer; and great-great-granddaughter, Wynter Dyer.
