Herman L. “Skip” Paul, 78, of Roseland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Services were held privately under the direction of Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, Roseland, N.J. Condolences and memories may be shared at shookfarmer.com. Surviving are his daughter, Aimee L. Paul, of Caldwell; son, Timothy B. Paul, and his wife, Kristi T. Beighley, of Montclair. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, of Roseland, N.J., and brothers, Robert E. Paul, of Concord, MA, and Charles Thomas Paul of Madison, CT.
Skip was born August 12, 1943, the son of Herman L. and Virginia L. Paul. After graduating Wayne High School in 1961, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served from 1962 to 1966. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked for Uniroyal from 1966 to 1970, during which time he married his wife, Linda, on September 7, 1968. In 1970, Skip moved to Roseland with his wife and began working as a clerk at the East Hanover Post Office, where he worked until his retirement in 2004.
