Obituary for Hoa Huynh
Hoa Thu Huynh, 62, of Rockaway, passed away on December 27, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday from 4 pm through 6 pm in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday 10 am at St. Cecilia’s Church, Rockaway, NJ. Cremation services will be private.
Born and raised in Vinh Long, Vietnam, she came to America and eventually settled in New Jersey. She began her work life as a teacher in Vietnam. Later, she retired as a nail technician at Showroom Nails in Reading, PA. In her spare time she loved to tend to her fruit and vegetable garden, visit the arboretum, and play sudoku. She is also known for her delicious Vietnamese cooking.
Pre-deceased by her husband, Nhac Van Nguyen and her father, Huynh Van Xung.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Vo Kim Sang; devoted children, Sarah Nguyen, Elizabeth Leung and her husband Ernest, Kathy Nguyen and her husband Lei Beard, and Tony Nguyen; cherished grandchildren, Katrayl Riley, Chantelle Riley, Amiyah Scott, Wyatt Leung, Tobin Leung, Celestine Beard, and Kieran Beard; loving brother, Sonny Huynh and his wife Kim Nguyen and nine siblings residing in Vietnam. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
