Julie A. Brooks, 91, of West Orange, NJ died on March 7, 2022.
A Funeral Ceremony will be offered on Thursday, 3/10/2022 at 10:30 am at Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068, shookfarmer.com. Friends and family may gather at 9:30 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pearl River Cemetery, Pearl River, NY.
Mrs. Brooks lived in Park Ridge before moving to West Orange in 1970. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, East Orange, was a volunteer at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, as well a member of M.E.N.D, and the East Orange Discipleship Team.
Julie was the wife of the late Murray Brooks, stepmother of Arnold Brooks and Harlene Abramson; 4 grandchildren, Carolyn Russo (Mike), Doreen Rasp, Meghann Mautone (Joe), and Jeffrey Brooks (Stephanie) and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to M.E.N.D., 50 S. Center Street, Unit 6, Orange, NJ 07050 (mendnj.org) or to the West Orange First Aid Squad, 25 Mt. Pleasant Place, West Orange, NJ 07052.
