Obituary for Margaret Florence Tita (Petrillo)

The family of Margaret F. Tita is sad to announce that she passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Mayflower Nursing Center in Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

Margaret was born in Jersey City, NJ, on June 24, 1921, the last child of Frank and Angelina (nee Palumbo) Petrillo.

Margaret is predeceased by all her brothers and sisters, as well as her husband Carl H. Tita.

Margaret was employed by the US Navy Department during the Second World War in Brooklyn, NY. After a list of part time positions, including those with parishes within the Archdiocese of Newark NJ, and Clorox in Jersey City, she was employed full time with the Schiavone Construction Co. in Secaucus, NJ as paymaster. She retired from Schiavone in 1981 subsequent to over ten years of service.

Margaret resided in Boynton Beach, Florida from 1981 through 2015.

She has been a resident of South Yarmouth, MA since 2015.

She is survived by son Charles M. Holden and his wife Partricia (Nelson) of Sandwich, MA; grandson Matthew M. Holden, his wife Winnie (Chan), and great grandchildren Victoria and Alexander of Berkeley Heights, NJ; grandson Michael J. Holden, his wife Dr. Emily (Perl) and great granddaughters Sofia and Madeline of Colts Neck, NJ.

Margaret will be interred in a private ceremony at Hollywood Park in Union, NJ.
