The family of Michael A. Casale is sad to announce his passing on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Michael lived a good life of 74 years, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Saturday, February 12th from 5-8 pm at Garrett Jones Memorial Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland, NJ 07068 (973-228-7925 / shookfarmer.com) There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, on May 21, 1947, Mike was the son of Jack and Virginia Casale. He was a graduate of Saint Mary’s in Elizabeth where he enjoyed playing basketball. Mike then graduated from Rutgers University with his undergraduate degree and achieved his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School.
He had a prestigious career as a lawyer in his private practice in West Caldwell. Some of the highlights in litigation were when he represented the NJ Bar Association against the NJ Association of Realtors which resulted in the 3 day attorney review which is now a law in NJ. He also appeared before the US Supreme Court.
In his spare time, he raced cars, played tennis, and enjoyed dancing, and having fun with friends. He was always young at heart. He always enjoyed spending time with his son and his four grandchildren, going on hikes, hanging out at the beach, or taking them to the zoo.
Surviving are his beloved wife, May; devoted son, Michael Casale and his wife, Karen and their children, Jackson, Tara, Davis and Max; loving step-daughter, Jieying Wu; dear brother, Joseph Casale and his wife, Marilee, and sister, Jacqueline Bond and her husband, Rich; also many nieces, nephews and friends.
