Norma Jane Boeckel passed on in her sleep at home in West Caldwell, NJ on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She lived for 89 years.

She was the daughter of Bernard and Marion Reilly and grew up in the Vailsburg Section of Newark, NJ, where she graduated from St. Vincent’s High School. Norma earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Elizabeth’s College in Convent Station, NJ. She married Herbert E. Boeckel and they lived in Livingston before moving to West Caldwell.

Norma’s career began in NYC working in advertising. She also worked at Chatham Electronics, Caldwell College, and retired from New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company.

She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert, and sister Catherine "Kathy" Maybaum.

Surviving are her devoted sons, Mark and his wife, Jill, and Scott; loving grandson, Mat; dear brothers-in-law, Richard Maybaum and Paul Boeckel and his wife, Carol; also, many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, NJ under the direction of Garrett Jones Memorial Homes.
