A True Reader

My aunt the reader.  Not really a story but a memory.  I can still vividly remember, after forty years, being in the kitchen with Aunt Connie at the house in West Orange.  I was working in our town library at the time so the conversation was about new books.  She started telling me about how good a new release The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough was and then just started laughing. She told me about how dinner had started to burn a few nights before because she started reading again and forgot about the food.  Books and humor, what a wonderful memory from a very special lady.  Thank you Lord, for the blessing of time with and now memories of my Aunt Connie.
